2013 Spring Book Sale

The Annual Friends of the Library (FOL) Book Sale is coming this April 18-20, 2013.

We will be in two locations during this time:
North Platte Public Library, 120 W 4th ST, North Platte NE will host the Regular Book Sale
Episcopal Church of Our Savior, 203 W 4th ST, North Platte NE will host the Special Collectors Book Sale

The Library received a very large donation of items last summer from the Elden Burcham Estate. The Library added what it wanted to add to its collections. The FOL has specially priced each item for the Collector Sale. Any item that would normally receive an individual price will be at the Collector Sale.

UPDATE: 2013 Jigsaw Puzzle Tournament Photos

OFFICIAL RESULTS: 2013 JPT Results

Entry Fee: $50.00 per person; we encourage adults to find sponsors or sponsor themselves, but if you cannot, we will attempt to find a sponsor for you or your team. We make every effort to solicit sponsors for the Elementary & Middle school divisions.

The Jigsaw Puzzle Tournament kicks off our fundraisers in 2013. There are five (5) divisions to compete in:

  • Elementary School 2-person age 8 – 11 (Grades 3-5)
  • Middle School 2-person age 12 – 15 (Grades 6-8)
  • Adult Individual age 16 and older
  • Adult 2-person age 16 and older
  • Adult 4-person age 16 and older

All school divisions compete in the bracket of the oldest puzzler. For example if siblings wanted to compete together and one was in 10 years old and the other one was 14 years old, they would complete in the Middle School bracket.

All competitors and teams are required to pre-register so we are sure to have enough puzzles for each division.
